FROM THE TIME she was four years Jenny has loved singing with the radio while riding with her dad in his Ford Bronco. This love of music led her to join the Colorado Academy of Arts where she performed in numerous groups over a period of seven years. An honored trio from the Academy was chosen to sing radio Christmas jingles advertisements for the Nashville Tennessean and the Roanoke Times. Jenny received her first professional earnings and was proud to display her $26 check in a frame on her wall. During that time, she formed her own group called "Prairie Fire" which appeared in states between her home in Colorado to the Texas panhandle. This success was all she needed to continue her future in music. In high school Jenny was named as an All-State Musician, All-State High School Choir member, the National Honor Society, received the Outstanding Jazz Singer award. This young musician made time to sing regularly in church, compete on the high school tennis team winning All-State competition, made the National Honor Society, was chosen to attend Colorado Girls State, and graduated with honors. Upon receiving a music scholarship to the Lamont School of Music at University of Denver, she continued her singing career in various groups, was recognized by receiving the Female Jazz Singer award at the University of Northern Colorado Jazz Festival. You can expect to see more of Jenny as her career continues in Nashville. |
